Since 1995, Neon-l is a mailing list for persons in the professional neon trade. That's neon as in "neon signs", "neon lighting", glass, rare gas, high voltage, etc. Though anyone is welcome, if you're not involved in the neon industry, you probably won't find it very interesting, or even understand some of the jargon. Neon-l is non-commercial. Posts are not moderated (unless temporarily to cool off a flame war), and there are no ads or corporate sponsors. The list exists solely for the benefit of people involved with neon, cold cathode, and related technologies. As of April 2018, Neon-L has approximately 140 members, from 11 countries. Along with Kenny Greenberg's www.neonshop.com, and the Facebook Professional Neon group, it is the most active spot on the Internet related to professional neon. It is suggested you set up a filter in your email program to look for "NEON-" in the subject, and collect all neon list traffic into a specified folder, as volume can sometimes be heavy with popular topics. Using Neon-l
To post a message to all the list members, send email to neon-l@mailman.prismnet.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Neon-l
Subscribe to Neon-l by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
